Singapore – 1st November 2018 eNett International, a leading provider of dedicated B2B payment solutions, has smashed its fundraising target of USD30,000 in 2018. The funds raised will be used to support the company’s “Repay the eNett Way” CSR initiative, which this year will focus on renovating a dilapidated school and supporting a Women’s Education Program in Nepal.
The eNett team have been carrying out a range of fundraising activities throughout the year including bake sales, quiz nights and talent shows, as well as sporting activities, such as a cycling event, to support the two main projects. As of last week, the team is thrilled that they have well and truly achieved their fundraising target, which is in excess of USD30,000.
eNett has partnered with THISWORLDEXISTS, a volunteer run organisation that uses all profits to implement sustainable education projects in underprivileged communities. Alongside this charity, eNett is funding the renovation of five new and improved classrooms for over 100 students per year at Sindhu Primary School in the Tanahun region. In addition, the Palanchok Bhagawati Community Learning Centre for Women in Palu Bari, Sankhu, will receive new machines, candle presses and other learning materials, to help the 250 women that attend the school generate an income to support their families.
Following an application process, eight eNett employees have also been selected to go to Nepal this month to assist with the renovation of the school and help make a difference in the local communities there.
Anthony Hynes, MD and CEO of eNett, said: “I’m in awe of the amazing activities the eNett team has arranged over the course of this year to raise the funds to support the projects in Nepal”. Hynes added, “The continual success of the CSR programme we launched three years ago is testimony to our commitment to giving communities in need the tools to benefit from the opportunities tourism creates.”
Ryan Gray, Founder and Director of THISWORLDEXISTS, said “I’m thrilled to be working with eNett to be able to change the lives of hundreds Nepalese people. I look forward to hosting the volunteers in Nepal this month, to truly make a difference and leave a lasting legacy they can all be proud of.”
