Singapore, 20 August 2019: eNett International, a leading provider of integrated B2B payment solutions for the travel industry, celebrates winning three Stevie® Awards at the 2019 International Business Awards®. CEO Anthony Hynes was awarded Gold in the ‘Financial Services Entrepreneur of the Year’ category for the second year in a row, while the company achieved Bronze in both the ‘Best House Organ’ and ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year’. These awards mark three consecutive years of eNett winning at the Stevie’s.
With 2019 marking eNett’s 10-year anniversary of the joint venture between shareholders, Travelport and Optal, it’s only fitting that the inspiring leadership of CEO and founder, Anthony Hynes, led him to being awarded Gold in recognition of his entrepreneurship for the second year in a row. From building a team of customer experience champions, to leading a socially responsible business, and solving key industry issues for customers, Anthony has built eNett into the fintech disruptor it is today and enabled it to become the no.1 in international virtual card payments for the travel industry.
eNett’s ongoing success is also due to the team’s commitment in understanding the complex world of B2B travel payments experienced by its customers. Since launching its insights initiative It Pays to Know in 2017, eNett has published six thought leadership reports on a variety of hot topics impacting the travel industry. One such report titled: ‘A Travel Agency’s Guide to Airline Failures’, exposes the history and factors that trigger airline failures, and provides best practice guidelines that travel agencies can use to mitigate impacts. This effectiveness of this initiative led eNett to taking home a Bronze award in the ‘Best House Organ’ category.
eNett’s corporate social responsibility programme – Repay the eNett Way – was also recognised in the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year’ category for its work in helping underprivileged communities displaced in areas of high growth tourism. It was awarded Bronze for its work over the last year, which saw eNett partner with THISWORLDEXISTS and raise over USD30,000 to support sustainable education projects in underprivileged communities in Nepal. In the award entry, the company also introduced its pledge for 2019 in providing support to homelessness charities in its home cities of London and Melbourne.
Anthony Hynes, founder and CEO, eNett International said: “From challenger start-up, to global disruptor, eNett has grown phenomenally over the last 10 years, and its testament to the team’s dedication and hard work. It’s great to see our impact in the travel industry recognised at this year’s Stevie’s and to take home awards for the third year in a row. I am proud of how far we have come and excited for the future as we continue our quest to bring fast, easy and safe payments innovations to our customers.”
Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards said: “The IBA judges from across the world were highly impressed with the nominations they reviewed this year. With the level of achievement documented in the nominations from 74 nations, the Stevie Awards are proud to honour organisations that demonstrate a high level of achievement in a variety of industries.”
